Muskie on the Rideau tonight anyone?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Muskie on the Rideau tonight anyone?

Post by SkeeterJohn »

Looking to go out on the rideau from kars at about 5:45pm until dark anyone interested.. Space for 1. Probably trolling and casting. I have two rods if you don't mind lefty C3 baitcasters or bring your own.

PM me or leave a reply here. Last time out Sunday afternoon with RJ we managed to rasie a nice 45+" one so with this warm front moving in i'm hoping for good things.

John,

I'd be with you in a second if I weren't going to the hockey game tonight. If it's one thing I love as much as fishing, it's hockey. And seeing as this is possibly the only game I might get to go to for a while, I'm taking advantage of it. Damn CBA!

GO CANADA GO!

Sorry for the off topic. :)

Yeah.. i suspect the hockey this year may be as illusive as a big 50" muskie.

I'm still comfortable knowing that I have a better chance of catching a 50" muskie than the Leaf's do of winning the Stanley Cup. :)

Yet again almost a fish in the boat.

I ended up at the mouth of the kempville creek and got an amazing series of hits from a very active fish.. must have easily been in the mid 40" range... I took a surface lure and attacked it 3 times before disappearing... i'm amazed it didn't get hooked and i managed to get a pretty good look at it.

Then a few minutes later another hit.. possibly the same fish but about 20yrds further along... One hit and that was it...

Oh well everytime i got out i get so much closer.. next time has to be a fish in the boat

It was dark for about 8:15 last night.

Oh i should also thank the guy in the 30ft green and white cruiser who gave me back my jacket. I lost it over the side when taking off after launching and didn't notice it was missing.

Thanks even though you may never read this.. but you never know

I noticed on another thread that you are coming to Canada in October and you will find that it will be dark around 7 or even earlier depending on the date you are here.
Here is a link for sunrise/sunset times.
