Long time Lurker First time poster LOL

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hey fishforfun sometimes the rings come loose, some guys tape them to keep them tight. I use shrink tube much more trick LOL never come loose that way and doesnt go sticky like tape does after awhile if it gets wet. I would have had a reel seat put on the rod when i had it tied for me, its a 13' St.croix avid but i couldnt decide at the time where it felt most comfortable, so i went with rings.

Here's another example fff(Drift Water reel seat),on a 14 ft Sage.
Image

Fighting fish on a center pin reel is fun,no drag(like a mooching reel),just you and the fish, palming the spool with your hand/finger's is the drag.

Combined with a long rod & light line,a whole lotta fun.

Welcome Pinner!

I'm sure you'll find a few float fishers...

Markus... That was funny and I had the same thoughts.

I guess the Chrome season ended a while back for Floatfishing so no new pics but he does love his chromes. Hopefully we can get a flotilla going out to some creeks.
