Is Castor river all run off?

My mother in-law owns a house across the street from M&M meat shop in Embrun. I am headed there in the next hour to try for pike. If I catch one of decent size, I wouldn't mind eating it. Mommy dearest is grossed out by the thought of it. She says it's made up of a lot of run off from surrounding farms.

I tried that before I wrote the post, to no avail. I just tried again, no dice. I hope I'm not doing something worng, its pretty straight forward.

I've ate plenty of fish from the Castor and have no ill effects to show for it. I believe the Castor is spring fed with a lot of run off in the spring.
