Dow's Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Dow's Lake

Post by Pints »

NCC was taking the last of the shacks off today. They should be filling the lake this week. Pannies will be hungry. Great time to get the kids out. Small ice fishing jig and a honey worm, small bobber. Huge fun.

Good for you Larry, nice post. It is a great spot for an evening fish for those stuck within the urban centre. Poor souls..

Good to hear! Been itching to get into some perch and fry them up for a nice tasty meal...went catfishing the other day and got skunked the water is still very cold, hopefully by the end of this week it will be warmer and the cats start running again.

I usually give it about 2 weeks after being filled to let all the dead leaves, etc to settle out and the bite to pick up. The same thing is true for Black Rapids,
"There wouldn't have been any butt kickings if that stupid death ray had worked."
