It's that time of year again. The fall bite is on now on the Ottawa river. Gotta love it.
Water temps were around 14C. Can't wait to get back out there.

I have not had good success on Rideau river recently. What strategy were you using on Ottawa river? Time of the day, structure, depth you were fishing, lure and color.etc. Thanks.

Seahawk ,
The best advice I have for you about fall bass fishing is the same advice Big Jim gave to me back in the 1980s. This applies to both the Ottawa and Rideau rivers at this time of year.
Look for the warmest water with the greenest of the weeds.
That is your best starting point. Type of lure doesn't matter so much when they are aggressive like this but use a big lure.
Hope that helps.
