The "LAZY" fisherperson challenge

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The "LAZY" fisherperson challenge

Post by Jimmy_1 »

Ok,

For fun...

Let's have a running contest (no prizes, fee's etc unless a sponsor or someone offers up something).

1) Post your BEST fish caught in the laziest manner.

No "arse crack of dawn, 200km away in the hills etc"....
I'm talking minimal driving (if any), minimal gear etc.

Its great that folk use sonars that see a minnows fart, drive far and early etc.....but let's have fun and see what can be done chucking a bobber from shore.

All for fun and laughs.

I didn't even have to work for this one.
Threw the bait over the edge of the canoe to tie another line, and almost lost my rod.

Here's your winner.

Spinner bait dangling barely in the water for 3 or 4 minutes (after sharpening) then he points to where he wants to go moving body slightly to the left, and wham history is made. Fight didn't even last 10 seconds, least amount of effort for a nice fish ever!

First fish I ever caught was the laziest. I wasn't even fishing, my buddy Fraser was. After he put down a rod and walked away I saw it twitching and picked it up. Tay River bullhead.

off the dock, tried casting with trolling rod w/ deep sea penn 309 reel. I was a kid... I was bored.
While trying to pick apart the massive birdsnest a 2lbs speckled trout grabs my worm dangling in the water... I pulled it in by hand.
Left the birdsnest for my dad to fix.

You guys have to tell me what I'm doing wrong, I have to work for every fish I get... Great job!
This year I spent most of my money on beer, women and fishing...the rest I wasted.

Went to White Lake with my family. My wife came along for the ride and brought a book to read, not planning to fish at all. She decides to borrow a rod, makes one cast and catches a 4lb pike.

Okay, it wasn't the "laziest" catch by some of the other fish stories in this thread but it was one of the most serendipitous. She now has her own rod and tackle box and is a regular on our fishing trips, needless to say.

Fishing at blacks rapids and my wife and daughter came, my daughter is 2 1/2 and I put a weighted hook and a worm on her Dora the Explorer rod with the original line that came on it. she would cast the worm and retieve and my wife and her landed this!
