Lake St. Clair Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lake St. Clair Musky

Just got back from Lake St. Clair and WOW. There is a ton of musky out there. We went 3/4 and the one that got away spooled out 300ft of line before the line snapped. Total heart brake, but I'm not complaining ;) There was only 8-10 feet of water 1 mile from shore. Crazy shallow. No wonder there is such a healthy musky population. The Charter boats down there can reel in 15-25 musky on a good day. Freekin nutz!!! :D

Cheers!

Sweet 'ski dude! Sorry to hear about the one that got away. I see a few guys/rods in that little boat, are you using inline planars and trolling or casting for them?

I believe it was a fault some where in the backing, the same reel was on lake Ont a couple weeks before and took its fair share of abuse. Last minute trip..
