Hi Folks, would anyone know if using headless smelt for Pike works under a tip up?

pike will eat anything and yes they do thats what we use across the river

hey double you can get smelts with the heads on them at food basics and last time we went fishing had a bite on a line when i pulled it up to check the minnows they where both bent in half and almost ready to fall off i took the head from one and the tail from the other and slapped them back on and got another pike so i don't think pike are fussy!

Thanks guys....the smelts held up today but the fish were on holidays...no bites....not even a nibble....I was at the locks at Long Island and no one was getting anything at all.....oh well, it's better than working!!
