Quinte: Fishing over the holidays with my Dad

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thats one hog walleye Luke.
Good to see you out slaying the eyes with your dad during the holidays.

As far as that plate of walleye..... I can truely say that boy can cook.
I was fortunate enough to join in on that feast which included seconds and even thirds of that secret recipe pan fried deliciousness. :D
The sweet is not as sweet without the bitter!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Almonte: The fish brined for a day, and was in the smoker for 11 hours, with 3 hours of smoke, alternating maple and crown royal every 20 minutes. It's not on day 2 in the fridge hardening and drying more.

S.M.05: The wife still can't believe how much fish you and I packed into our guts.

Bunk: Yes, I will smoke anything that seems to be edible. (As I type I am munching on my sweet and spicy smoked almonds!!)

Mike. P. I'm just a "wannabe" chef...........I'm sure if you started posting more pics of your dishes I would be put to shame. And BTW, it's not my PB walleye.

Thanks again fellas, it certainly was some quality time spent with the old man.

LOL.
No worries.
Best fish of the week I should have said....

Now quit replying to reports and let's see one from you... I know you haven't been sitting at home knitting mittens for the last two weeks since your last report.

Hey I spent the first 20 years of my life on Quinte. I should have a 13+ by now.......but I just can't break the 12.6 mark.
