fish report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

fish report

Post by wetwilly »

Just a word about the pickerel fishing over the past week in Lake Clear, Renfrew County.
Caught our limit (2 each on Clear) every day, for 3 days in a row.
All over 20 inch.
Oddly, or maybe not so, in very shallow water where you can see the bottom. Some weeds around. Fish contained small perch as well as quite a bit of weeds. I figure the are grubbing around among the vegetation on bottom and eating some along with their meal.

2 each per day or 2 each x3 day = 12 in the freezer ?

Congrats again and welcome!!!

Hi there..of course my friend, we must all support fish and wildlife conservation measures, even if some may seem
a bit difficult to understand. Something must be working at this lake as there are fish of many sizes.

1/4oz plain jighead with white twister grub and a piece of worm or minnow, cast ahead of a slowly drifting boat.

Sorry no pictures as I ate mine when I got home.

Welcome Fish-Hawk! Thanks for the report... I don't think that 24/7 was being suggestive of anything other than wanting to invite himself over for supper!!

Look forward to more Walleye reports!
