This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Nice report and a big white too! We had the last soft water trip also , camping at the Pem . Saturday was wicked , big waves rolling in , snow squals and cold . We didn't venture out onto the lake .Buddy's 14ft fiberglass sunk on the shore and we spent most of the day hauling on ropes to get it out of the water enough to get the transom out of the water so the waves wouldn't continue filling it . We were after pike but didn't have any luck  But was still a fun time , winter up there this weekend .

And that's it for me , the ride is stowed away until April . And oh yeah BA , a bald eagle made a low pass across the bay we were in , sorry no pic .

cheers

I don't want to draw any hasty conclusions, but I have been out with Craig 3 times now, and every time, there has been a conicidental element of extreme nutty-ness assocaited with it.... torrential downpours, persistent rain and near zero temperatures.... I'm not insinuating anything... just saying.. thats all..

Very entertaining report fellas....

You want to increase the "gong effect", invite S.M.05 along..... Every time him and I get out, we have events similar in nature to these ones occurring.

Good on ya's for getting through it all, and putting some fillets on the plate.

Someone's gotta buy a truck sooner or later though.

LOL @ 24/7!!

Sounds like a Mark Twain type thing... Sired by hurricanes & dammed by earthquakes I am the man they call Sudden Death & General Desolation I split rocks with a glance & quench thunder when I speak.

It might seem that way... but I do like to fish in all conditions possible. Sometimes my enthusiasm to go fishing gets in the way of my common sense... like backing down an icy hill with crappy tires...

But that is all good.

Gotta say... madog99... umm... you guys are SICK!!! I love it!!!! Pem is an awesome body of water. I think I know the island you stayed on... it must be the one in the North East side of the lake.

Lonnie.. it is just a coincidence!

Quite the report guys!!! very entertaining. I was surprised to find out that my lake although supposedly has a good stock of walleye, is chocked full of the whites. I will keep the boat in later next year to try this out. I will certainly get some this winter.

Thanks for sharing the adventure!
