Husky Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Husky Musky

Post by i got worms »

hit the rideau for some musky action today with my bro.

things were painfully slow most of the morning, no follows, no bumps, notta.

damn east wind!

then around noon the wind started to shift from the south. the sun was out, the shallows were warming up and we finally managed to hook-up.

first fish went to craig. just a little fella but we were happy to get one in the boat.

then, at 1:27pm, three minutes before we had to leave, BOO-YAH!!!

i tie into this beauty!

8ft of water, 8" grey/hot pink suick.

i just love these freakin fish!

WOW nice Ski. I'm obviously doing somethig wrong. Trev and I got skunked on Thurs. I was thinking of leaving it as my last outing and winterizing the boat.

Maybe not now.

Nice fish Husky.
Yours there look WAY different in colour of their body and fins from the ones around here. Yours are actually nicer coloured fish.
Mine all have bars (no spots) on the smaller fish and golden brown on larger fish, and have their fin edges all black including the caudal fin.
Just goes to show you how they can adapt to there cover and surroundings.
Lots of time for more hunts with this warm weather too.
One thing's for sure, I'll be out again for more action.

That's actually just a chunk of weed on her side. Very healthy fish except for a little notch out of the back fin.
