Ok, here is the real report. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to report live on your black berry in the Bay at 6 degrees.

Anyway, Walleye Hunter and I headed out from the Deseronto Launch at 5:30 AM. We were pretty stoked considering the time of morning, the time we went to bed and amount we drank the night before..... just ask Walleye Hunter how he took over the kitchen at Shoeless Joe's, even after he was told he wasn't supposed to be in there, and now has photos with him and all the kitchen staff including one of him hand feeding the manager food in the middle of the kitchen hahaah.....

Image

By 6 AM we had our first couple lines in the water at Thompson's point. I had sent out a DDT11 in blue/silver. I turned around to help Gil with something, turned back and my rod was bent in half.....

Image

This toothy example weighed on my digital scale 6 lb 9 oz and was 26". We had it weighed, measured, and in the livewell by 6:09. We THOUGHT this was a sign of good things. Alas, most of the day looked like this.....

Image

All we caught was one little perch the rest of the day. At one point, I counted 58 boats jigging on Thompson's point. We moved around a lot... concerte plant, long reach, east of the ferry, Thompson's a second time..... As far as the tournament goes, that one decent fish got me 6th place as there were only 10 fish weighed for 88 anglers! I wasn't the only one who had trouble.

Thanks again to Walleye Hunter for a great fishing weekend, and Andy_L and Almotefisher for loaning us some planer boards! They helped us cover a lot of water, which made us feel that we at least put in a good effort :)

good report Hollywood, sunny sky and warm temps don't make it any easier.

I'm hopefully heading back down in a couple weeks, hoping for clouds and cooler temps.

Nice Report! I can vouch re. how hard the Bay was yesterday (Nov 13th)! Fished the Reach, Thompsons Point for some jigging action (I also counted over 50 boatds at one time, fished the Cement Plant etc.. all we had to show for it was 3 pearch! Spoke to a couple of different people when leaving @ the Ferry Launch and all the same story, which endes up not really being a story as they all cought nothing! All say the same thing, too hot or has been to hot...

How ever, anyone fishing the bay or anywhere else around this part of the woods can<t complain as the weather was on point and any time on the water with this type of temp is simply to be appreciated.
