Wow was going to head up to la ferme myself but decided on a closer lake on the ON side due to a late start.
Senkos and tubes fished slow got one tiny bass in the boat over 5 hours. Switched to spinnerbaits and landed 9 largies and 6 pike in the last hour of the day before having to beat sundown to the ramp.
I was wondering if it was a bait choice or feeding frenzy. Ya never know.

Thats some great fishin' despite those wind gusts. I was out fishing close to Ladysmith Sunday and was defeated by the wind for the second weekend in a row by 40km/h gusts
Have you guys fished Lac Johnston just past Ladysmith on the 303? Jiggy and I are up there a lot in the summer months at our uncles cottage and have done well for smallmouth and lakers. Fall fishing on the lake for smallmouth has always interested me. Some big ones in there too.

What do you know, there ARE fish in that lake.
Never had a chance to fish it yet.
I've hit some of the lakes around the area including ladysmith.
I've never fished Johnson but have been on the lake.

We had a great time out there. Big enough lake to hold some nice ones, and small enough to cover most of its waters in a day.
Johnson looked interesting... we considered hitting it, but in the end we stuck with the plan. The lakes positioning kept the wind off our butts for the most part.
Meacham, Leslie and Otter lake itself also looked interesting.
As for the little guy on the dock... I think that Quebecers are getting better. One of the games we used to play as kids on car trips into Northern Quebec and the Eastern Townships, was count the racially inappropriate lawn ornaments... this one was quite racialy benign!
The next report from the two of us will likely be of the Musky persuasion from a northern Quebec lake! Should be fun!!

GR8 report guys ... I've probably driven by that lake a 100-times on the way to my Uncle's place....I think I'm gonna have to give it a try next year.
Cheers
