Good evening all, it is that time of year. Renegade Bass will host it's Championship on the St. Lawrence River out of Morrisburg this year, our 15th Championship !
We as an organization, require people to act as scrutineers for this two day event. Your roles would be simply observers acting on behalf of the team fishing and Renegade Bass.
For those who do both days, we have a terriffic gift (last year Shimano jackets), those who can do only one day will recieve something as well (we have not figured that out yet).
You will require a current Ontario fishing licence (you will not be fishing), rainsuit, sunscreen, lunch/drinks (no alcohol) etc .
If you have an I-68 or its equivilant that will be great (we will remburse you for its cost), a valid passport. As some of the teams may be fishing American waters.
This year out of the 80 anglers fishing, 21 anglers are either past Champions or past Team of the Year winners.
Then, there is a couple of wanna be anglers by the names of BOB IZUMI and his partner DARREN IZUMI who try hard, but just haven't made it yet. I think Big Jim is coaching them this year ( sorry Bob and Darren, just kidding).
What I am trying to say is some of the best anglers in Canada will be fishing in our Championship. It could be, it will be, a great opportunity to watch and learn from some of the best anglers this country has to offer. Your only cost is time and fuel(your car).
The Championship prize again this year is a fully rigged Ranger Bass Boat, powered by a Yamaha engine worth approximently $55,000.00 your job as observers is extremely important to us and the anglers fishing in this Championship.
We would prefer non-tournament anglers to fulfill these roles but will consider everyone over the age of 18. We require, hopefully 10 people per day. It would be great if we had 10-15 people. You will need to be in Morrisburg Saturday September 11th and Sunday September 12th at 6am at the town dock.
If you are interested please e-mail me with your intentions of one or two days. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you all for your time, hoping to hear from you.

What a great opportunity to see some of Eastern Canada's elite bass fisherman in action. This would be a great learning experience for anyone interested in seeing what a tournament angler goes through on a daily basis. Hopefully some of you FH's can find the time to indulge in this event! Im sure you will learn a thing or two from some great bass anglers.

coaching???
Hey Glen, I may have one more Canadian Championship ring than Bob

, but he doesn't need the coaching of this old dog.

It is amazing to have been able to watch his son Darren grow as an angler and with just a little teeny weeny bit of luck, he may get something very special next weekend.
Good luck to all the guys ...and more importantly ...fish safe.
Warmest Regards
BIG JIM
