Replying to open seats: A Report
I believe it was labelled as a full on "$hit show" by the Slopmaster. A day to remember for sure. I bet we weren't catching slabs like you were the last time Grant phoned ya............I'm waiting for that report.ratsotail wrote:A "Steller Day" or "Slayfest" as the Slopmaster would say. Well done boys!

Oh yeah...Steller, Slayfest, and Full on S!%$ Show are the top three descriptive terms generally used by the Slopmaster. I can almost hear him from here . Nothing above the average to report from the Texas trip....Crappie, White Bass, Largies and Catfish. We had a great family weekend and let the kids bluegill fish off the dock mostly !fatluke wrote:I believe it was labelled as a full on "$hit show" by the Slopmaster. A day to remember for sure. Good times for sure Luke!
Paying attention to wildlife activity is something all anglers and hunters should do. Ratsotail had a knack for this type of behavior via bird observations whenever we were out fishin'. We never did see an angry looking Gull with Loon antics though.
It's always rewarding to pick apart new water and un-lock it's secrets.
Apperantly, the EAP has been catching on, in Quebec. Take note of the sky-high laker shot!!!
I'm fine tuning my weight restrictions for an epic fly-in tour to Bai James next week.

As for the amphibious gull, I am clueless (!?) ... but I think your designer clothes attracted the fish.
Anyway, it was your lucky day getting the open seat with the Slopmaster.
Super-nice fish, fatluke. The double-header walleye is a great pic, and of course the gull shot is pretty cool too!

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Great post as usual Luke, you have a great flair for writing.
And Wolfe you beat me to the clothing comment.
Luke if I ever am able to get out fishing one of these days you are more than welcome in my boat. Right now it is looking like it wont be till next booking in the fall. Hopefully by then I will be able to get two days off in a row and we can hit Quinte.
And that pic is awsome and should be made into a cover.
Still waiting for 12 Lamb chops
