zero to seven musky report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

zero to seven musky report

Post by Chevy Champagne »

well we headed out for the first time this year for musky and to my standards we did AWESOME
we started the day off at 6 am and by 6 30 mickey had his first ever follow up a dink of a musky maby 30 inches that guy spooked though
then the bigger ones started to hit we were fishing top waters and had a few blowups and a couple follows sadley the only one that was going to commit to takeing the lure mickey pulled it away and it swiped at nothing
so we decide to let the spot rest for a bit and try a rocky shoal in about 6 feet of water and five minutes in i wasnt paying attention in my figure 8 and a monster came and smoked it the fish was over 45 inches for sure and he got off after a couple seconds later
that would of been quite the way to pop the cherry but it wasnt meant to be apperintly
i ended off the day with a pike around 6 or 7 pounds
ill get mickey to post the picture asap
so we ended off the day with 7 close calls but no musky
still a great day
hopefullly we can get one tomorow 8)
ill be trying more bucktails so we ca maby get some hookups

Seven follow's in one outing is a great day. Keep plugging the same area, eventually they will bite.
