Musky opener and life is good

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

HOLY F*CK! I somehow knew I shoulda been fishing with da boys instead of talking to that police officer early this am. It would have been a much better time!

Congrats on the pb J. You've managed to already have a fantastic season, and it's just started!

Thanks for the compliments all.

Now that I got thsi under my belt I can probably start to relax.

I have had many swings and a miss with topwater and lost 2 nice size fish at the boat in previous outings using topwater.

If I could give 2 pieces of advice for anyone who wants to target musky....

1, This is my 4th year of seriously targeting musky...so time...put in the time

2, The biggest trun around for me....be serious about sharpening your hooks

I started at the beggining of the season last year religously sharpening my hooks and did not loose a single fish last year when in previous years I was loosing fish at the boat.

This topwater was brand new that I got at the Carp show...thanks Stacey.
