White Lake May 2-4

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

White Lake May 2-4

Post by lapointeric »

I rented a cottage with my fiancée. Spent some quality time at breakfast and supper.

This was 1 of 2 decent pike (2 lbs). Must have caught 20 hammer handles. I was tossing out pretty chunky shiners. Caught a bunch of OOS bass, all went back unharmed, and off camera. Only two looked to be about 1-1.5 lbs.

This guy was sunning himself on the dock. Biggest snake I've seen.

My guard dog keeping an eye out for Walleye. None found.

Kept a few perch (and a crappie) for a snack:

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Maybe you should send you dog to the BOQ walleye school next spring :P
Wishing I was fishing

Great post and great pics, thanks for sharing.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, fishing rod in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!."

Looks like you had a good weekend. Nice pics.
Haven't seen many pike much bigger than that in a few years. Pretty average size... from what I've seen lately anyway.
Haven't been out on the lake yet this year... :(
Was hoping to this past weekend, but wasn't feeling well.
