wow i couldn't believe what i was seeing!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Post by fishin mission »

So it's a nice evening sunny 24c and we decide to go for a fishin mission in the canoe,,,,,, we paddle for a bit and ahead is a rocky point so we decide were going to beach it 50 yards from the point and walk to the point and see if there is any depth or a drop off. I look out on the water and what do i see a whole bunch of fish thrashing the waters so i get closer to investigate and i am shocked to see 50 or 60 Spotted Gar Pike thrashing the water ... amazing fish! I will try to post the videos i took of them have to ask my monkey how to post them !!

Looks like spawning to me, I have an area I fish in the fall that has them jumping all day long. I have no idea how many can be in this place but it must be hundreads as you can see them jump 5-10 at a time.
Catch and release them all
