Anyone fish on Horseshoe Lake near Parry Sound?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Anyone fish on Horseshoe Lake near Parry Sound?

Post by 'Bass'aria »

Just curious to know if any Hawker's are familiar with Horseshoe Lake near Parry Sound, Ontario as I share a cottage up there and wanted to swap stories and clarify myths. I have caught decent sized pike (28" or so), bass (both smallies and large mouth), and some sunfish. I am looknig for the lakers and eye's if there are any :?: I have a depth map and have plotted my spots on there.

Cheers!

Hey bmb fished it for a number of years had some nice bass, but too close to the highway, and too many cottages. Parry Sound has many good lakes as in trophy producers but you have to move around and explore. Ask the locals, the more negative they are about a lake the more positive I become. Fished up there 30 yrs now And that's what I know. Trial and error but the locals are tight if you know what I mean.
