As far as I know there is no public access to Lac Grand.
There is a launch at Barrage which can access Grand but it is private for the water-access lots on Barrage.
Lac Vert / Lac Grand Access
Lac Vert / Lac Grand Access
I've managed to get the following information regarding the lac Grand launch off of du Barrage.

I find it doubtful that the private land owners would agree to make their private launch public. If there are no signs (i.e. No Trespassing/Private Property) currently posted, I wouldn't be surprised if some do get posted.

						Jamsers,
"Winning" has nothing to do with it. It's about responsible/respectable fishing. It doesn't take much effort to ask cottagers, etc whether a particular launch or laneway or parking location is private. In many cases you'll find that the owners actaully appreciate that you've even bothered to ask. In a number of cases the actions of curtious members have persuaded some privage owners in the Calabogie area to permit us to park at their hunt camps, etc. The same can be said for some the prime trout streams that don't have public access.
The argument that it's public simply because it isn't posted is pretty weak in my opinion, especially if a body of water is ringed by private properties. For those members that feel that it's their right to be able to fish anywhere that's not "officially" posted, leave your FH hats at home so as not to tarnish the FH reputation for those of us that are willing to work with private property owners.

Re: Lac Vert / Lac Grand Access
Thanks Todd for going way above and beyond for something that you likely had no vested interest in... beyond helping the reputation of "fishers" in general by ensuring that the trespassing stops.Todd B. wrote:I've managed to get the following information regarding the lac Grand launch off of du Barrage.Tom Barber (past president of the Lac Grand Association) wrote:Todd

Launched there Wednesday... the launch hasn't disappeared. Is there some reason that several people are opposed to fishing this laker lake?
My buddy has a chalet up there... always different boats in there he says. Obviously the channel is boatable and connected Jammsers as you previously advertised that it wasn't connected. Trying to keep all the lakers for yourself?

How's about we give Vert a rest. Everyone that was interested knows all about by now, and the fact that the launch on Barrage is private. They can make their own choice.FisherLife420 wrote:Launched there Wednesday... the launch hasn't disappeared. Is there some reason that several people are opposed to fishing this laker lake?

Assuming something is public doesn't necessarily make it public. My guess is that it will be posted as private in the near future.FisherLife420 wrote:I guess so... seems public. I always launch there without any problems. No signs saying its private.
