Well we just got back from our annual fishing trip and WOW was it cold...first day we fished it was snowing and lots of ice on the water.. Anyways fishing was a little slow but we managed 1244 fish between 25 guys over 3.5 days so not to bad.

well hope you guys enjoyed the post...will post some more pictures of the biggest of the week when I get them..The biggest pike of the week was 47.5 inches, biggest laker was 38.5 inches and, 29 inch walleye
one of the lakers. this one is only 36.5 inches enjoy

WOW thouse are some serious fish you got there
iv never caught a laker how do they fight i now that there are alot by my camp but havent tryed for them yet

the lakers we were catching were hitting really hard and like you had to get a really hard quick hook set or they were gone...They fought two ways I found...they sat on the bottom and didn;t move as it felt like a snag and when we got the boat back over to the "snag" fish it took off on a long run...Or they just head shook like crazy and pulled to the bottom. It was really fun

Where abouts were you fishn that still has Ice?

Walleye man lakers are the shiz. If you have em at your camp Id learn how to fish them. When they wanna fight..............
they take line off your reel like candy from a baby and the head shakes are awesome.
Oh and dont fish them with light gear(2 shimano reel drags killed and 1st place snowmobile gone :evil: )
The sweet is not as sweet without the bitter!

we were fishing up in northern manitoba at Elk Island Lodge...its a great place and awesome people would suggest it to anyone. We have been going for years now.
