Martin River Lodge?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I have not stayed at that particular lodge but have fished the Martin River area (Red Cedar Lodge) a couple of times. Walleye fishing was fair and didn't target pike. A lot of small walleye and at the time there was a slot size as well.
I have fished better places a little further north but we caught enough to keep it interesting.

Good luck,
Dan

I was there roughly mid 90s. Lots of water to fish. We did ok but not fantastic. Mostly jigging, got a few trollling cranks. Haven't been back because I can find just as good walleye fishing in half the travel time.

Don't know about pike, didn't target them

June 1-5....

I highly doubt it.

Sorry JP can't help ya out. I recently read an article on that lodge but I don't recall what magazine it was in. I'll do some digging.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I am doing 4 back lakes and not fishing on the main sytem. They are only accessable by Argo or ATV. 4x4 trucks can only access one of them. The pike fishing in one is supposed to be like Northern Manitoba because of the low presure.

I can't wait even if it is an average outing, it's paid for LOL

cheers

My family since about 2000 has done a trip pretty much every year to Beaverland Lodge on Marten River typically at the end of August or in early September. We usually fish Big Marten Lake and fishing is often fairly slow. We never catch anything trolling and typically we end up working a few rock structures which we're able to pull some good sized small-mouth or 14" walleye off of the rock piles. Nice area :D
