The Great Whites Were Feeding!!!! With snow doughnuts!!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Great Whites Were Feeding!!!! With snow doughnuts!!!!

Post by Fishing 24/7 »

How can one resist the GREAT day we had.....

and what better way to take advantage of it by going ICE-FISHING! :D

walleye in the mornning.......whities for the rest of the day!

we start the day LATE................... the guys and gals at tim hortins were half asleep...... took them 25 minutes to make 2 coffees..........OH YEAH and the bleue barry muffin........

get to the lake...... we start to hit some perch... i know one thing with this lake... when the perch are in the walleyes arent...!

i decide to go into deeper grounds ... put a dead minnow and start to jig...

this fair 2 lbs eye was hungry and hit my lure!

Image

Image

SUPER TIME! :)

after that the eyes were no where to be seen..............eather that or we just dont know how to fish them....

so we leave that lake and head up north! :o

good choice!

the whities were active let me tell ya!

we hit a shoal that goes from 20 FOW to 40 FOW....

for some reason the whities in this lake hang around the 20 FOW dept.

i rig up my favourit lure and start to jig....

i start off agressive and then stop...... just budge it 1/64 of and inch. verry fast. then BANG!

A GREAT WHITE!

Image

BA open his trunk and pulls out a FISH TV!

makes a hole right beside mine.

and puts this camera in the hole.....

NOW let me tell you this lake is CRISTAL CLEAR MAN!

you could see everything of that camera........................................

today with that cam iv learnt ALOT!

even tho a white fish has a small mouth and looks like a bottom feeder....

They actually HUNT there pray and will swim fast and will feed upwards to get your lure....

we have seen it CLEAR as the bleu sky.... on the fish T.V.

I rig up a SIDE WINDER............ start jigging and BA says WHOA a whitie just missed you.

JIG JIG JIG......

BA: his commin i see him for far out.....

me: Tell me when

BA : HES COMMIN .... GET READY. he stormed IT!

ME : GOT HIM!

at this point i was LAUGHING my ?%$3?% off

He knew i was going to get the fish befor i had him.....

FISH T.V. #1 in clear water!

Image

RESULTS! 8)

PS: can someone PLEASE give BA some photography lessons???

there is always missing half of the fish in the pictures!!!! YET i see 3/4 of clear blue sky! :hs

The day was comming to an end....

we were just about to call it a day but just befor we leave we hit a spot that had produce some seriouse fish last time we went....

i hooked into another white fish

but BA got a seriouse laker.................................................................................................................................O...........................................................

.....................O.........................

.......................S...............................

that was that.

all and all

1 walleye

3 white fish

some lakers

some perch.....................

Had to make sure I topped up my brid feeders before we left..........

Image

This little guy wanted the whole feeder to himself...

Image

On the way up to the Whitefish Lake I spot a Bald Eagle flying overhead 8) 8) Pull over on the side of the road in a safe place..

Couldn't get the Dam camera out fast enough eagle is now too far away

Image

At the lake now , after a couple of hours of fishing , I think i spot something up in one of the trees on a nearby Island . Whatvever it is its way up , I ask Kevin if he has a'' Make up mirror '' handy , and I'm shocked when he replies yes....  :? :? :? :?

Now using the mirror and start counting the distance away from the base of the tree until i can see the Porcupine in the mirror =72 feet high 8)

Image

Afetr zooming in and taking a quick pic , I'm about to walk away and look over at the shoreline ............

24/7,

I have to say, your report was a very fun read. You crack me up, always picking on Bird Addict. Maybe he's jealous & sabbotages your big fish pic's on purpose.

Regardless of pic quality, those are definitely some "great whites".
Nice walters, too.

Bird Addict, this is a little redpoll. Very cute bird; a true "northerner", like you & 24/7.

Your nature pic's look just fine, which supports my sabbotage theory. 8)

Thanks for a couple of chuckles today, guys. Great report.

W.

PS: hearing about the underwater camera was very cool....to see that whitefish coming for you...then BAM!

I'd get a little more excited if I saw these rolling downhill towards me.

But on the bright side, these donuts have "0" calories.

They really are cool, guys. I have never seen nor heard of them 'til now.
