This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

there is all kind off species up there.

frome walleye to nice size crappies to ell to catfish ,carp walleye,pike.perhc.

5 year ago aprox..a walleye caught there AT THE DERBY aprox a bit more then 9 pound. close to the culvert.

not to hard everybody fish in the same area.

where the jonction nation and the castor river join.

its realy close to the 417,,actualy on the 417 you can see the spot.

i will try thard to go to those derbys.

i did ok over there on ice in the past..pike and walleye.

and spring time great perch/pike and crappies.

and catfish under the 417 bridge.

nice little river.((if there been no rain before)) because after a hard rain,,that river is the worst river around..it become so dirty even in winter.

i would like to see some result off the water test frome there. :?

not in spring wen they let go the over flow off the sewage systems in caselman. :?

or all those pesticide frome farmers land going down in that river. :? .

nice river..water not that nice but that becasoe off run off and clay bottom.

but yes the fish is ok to eat in moderation.

Great idea to do it on Family fishing weekend and a long weekend, unfortunately that means that I'll be up north at the father-in-law's fishing/hunting camp with the boys. I really want to go too!! Oh well, I'm sure there will be more derbies to come. Good luck to you Baz Fish and anyone else heading out there.
Tight lines,
