White lake help

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Post by javelin18r »

I while be going to white lake next sunday for the first time. Just wondering if I should target smallies or largies. Is the lake fairly safe to run with the boat?Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi, I was fishing there last weekend and I would go for LMB if you are looking for numbers quantity wise. They are hitting pretty much anything right now.

My nephew had great luck one day with a white spinnerbait but the very next day he got nothing on it but red shad rubber worms worked well. So crankbaits and plastics will do the job for sure. Didn't see any hunters there. We fished anywhere from 8 to 10 feet deep and caught about 28 bass in one day (all released alive).

Nothing big they all averaged around 1.2 /1.9 lbs to 3.00 pounds max, lots of fun.

Good Luck

PS: I might be out there this Sunday myself as my final day out this year.
