Lake Superior University Aquatic Research Camera:

Pretty cool to watch the Atlantics 'mill' about. I've noticed the odd Pink as well. It's sorta sad to see those bloodthirsty Lamprey hitchhiking and getting a free meal.

I think you're the 4th person I've ran into on this site that lived in TBay.

I lived there from birth to 21/22 years of age, went to Lakehead for a few years until transferring here, but really do like it here in Ottawa better.

Except for the fishing. Nothing beats fresh walleye on-demand. And there are some HOG smallmouth up there, not to mention HUGE pike and HUGE salmon.

PB Pike is in the 23lb range, PB salmon was 42lbs on the Nipigon River w/ my dad. I'll never forget that fight! :)

It appears that the Chinooks have joined forces with th Atlantics. The kings seem to be a little more camera shy though. See the link above.

bite is ALOT better there then here used to be soo easy to catch your limit of eye over there and it is a huge challenge to get your limit here and the pike can get HUGE in there

I'm another one that spent time in TBay and surrounding area.

I worked the fire crews on the east shore of Lake Nipigon for a couple of seasons while I was going to the University of Guelph then switched schools and went to Confederation College. After that, I kicked around flying out of Lake of the Woods and Armstrong for a bit.

I haven't been back to the Lakehead since '81. Sure do miss the place.
