Mississippi River Almonte?

Hello All,
I fished for the first time lately on the Mississippi River around Almonte on the side towards Appleton. I caught quite a few smallouth but wonder is it good Large Mouth fishing there as well as I did not catch one?

Right now theres constuction in the almonte area , they are working around the park also in the water, it slowed the fishing down because the removed some of the fallen longs right at the park in almonte. I usually caught alot of largies around the logs. Now they are not there i dont go anymore.

Oh they are there but Doeun is right about the area by the park in Almonte...Lots of construction going on there and fish have moved down river a bit..But the side heading to Appleton has LMB for sure...Just need to work the shore lines down the river.

i have never fished that stretch of river , i guess ima try it out on the yak
