Wacky rig with an o-ring..

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I started this year with the O RING THING. They do work great. The only problem is they always almost everytime majically vanish after the boat ride to the next spot? weird lol

Everyones new favorite bait...

If anyone is interested, I spent a bit of time looking for O-rings and Bits and Baits has the best pricing each.

NAPA - 30 cents (limited quantity of 010 size)
Part Source (Visited two stores) - 30 cents (doesn't carry 010)
Rona - 50 cents
Home Depot - 60 cents (comes in package of two)
CT - Can't remember but it's the most expensive

O rings

Post by Joey Rat »

CT prices are pretty much the same as the others. 3/16 25 cents, 1/4 30 cents. I took all the remaining stock at the Orleans store yesterday. In case you think I was being greedy there were only 8 total in those sizes.

wacky tool & O rings

Post by 14fishing »

You can order the Wacky Tool and extra O rings from Cabelas - the tool is around $6 and an extra pack of rings is $1.50
I used them this year for the first time and it's worth the money. Before O rings, Senkos would hold up for 1 or 2 fish - now, I can catch 10 -15 fish on 1 Senko.

Try heat-shrink tubing. Put a 3/8 piece on about 3/8 dia.,it will shrink to 3/16 dia. whith heat from a hair dryer or a "lite" touch from a lighter.
Hook goes thru heat-shrink and worm.
