Hey I tried asking catch more for a tiny little 4ft wide stream and he wouldnt' give me the name of it or area of it......You'll have to pry that information from his cold dead hands!

The best way to find trout streams is to look out your windows as you drive around endlessly in the calabogie area....I could give you more tips but that would make it way too easy.

Todd B. wrote:Hmmmm....sounds like an interesting mystery the MNR could shed some light on. Since brookies are the only native trout, the bows and browns must have been stocked, yet there is no evidence that any rivers up in the Calabogie region have been stocked with bows and only two bodies of water are stocked with browns.
Todd, No mystery at all. Check the adjoining MNR districts stocking lists. You'll find the answers you're looking for there.

Katch Moore, glad to hear you found the honey hole on that stretch of water. I've been looking for it but haven't found it yet.

I wouldn't be suprised if there are natural brookies in that area. The browns and rainbows are stocked by Kemptville district.
