Scotty Strikers and Compre rods..

Anyone else having trouble seating a Compre rod into a Scotty Striker rod holder?

Seems that the finger grip trigger dohickey on the bottom the the rod contacts the base/stem of the holder and prevents the reel from seating into the holder. I must be doing something wrong. Help!?

Never a problem with any rods I've used.

Either set it back or forward further in the holder???
