Diesel was 2.49/L in England today....the truckers have had it and are planning a protest today by blocking off Central London
I also heard on the news yesterday that there has been over 300 "fill-up, don't pay and run" cases since January throughout the Ottawa region...things will only get worse as the prices go higher!!
Will that stop me from going fishing????....it hasn't yet, but I may consider casting for Muskie a bit more when the season opens instead of trolling for hrs @ 5-6MPH with my 40HP and almost go through a 25L tank every night here on the river..... ...I will also fish the river more this year as opposed to travelling to other lakes as much as I did last year....
Current gas price is holland is 1,66 euro = 2,58 Canadian dollars!
So if the gas price is 2 dollar in september when I come over. It still will be cheaper as home.
What really peeves me is that I saw something on the news on the weekend that said the average price of gas in Canada was $1.30 and the average price of gas in the states is $1.02.
Who do you think is the largest supplier of gas and oil to the US?
It sure as hell isn't Saudi Arabia.
I'd ask to hear the government and oil companies explain that but they'd just lie to us anyway.
