Gar Spots on the Ottawa?

Hello Mitch 24.
I have seen and caught Gar pike in Shirleys Bay on
the Ottawa River.

Really? I usually ice fish this bay, its great in the winter but when do you usually catch/see the gar? Mid summer?

Never fished for them but I hear near the mouth of Constance Creek brings in some big ones.

Hey mitch,

wade the waters between andrew haydon park and britannia... its shallow backwater and has loads.

also, some nice ones at the mouth of the carp river into the Ottawa... access via fitzroy provincial park.
