carp or catfish

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Welcome Bodog001 and fellow Brantford fishermen. I met up with a guy last week at Wilkes dam (named Greg...is this you?).....anyways he fishes cats at Brant Conservation area ABOVE the dam. There is a fallen tree not too far up from the dam and he fishes at night 10pm to 4 am. Using worms , another fisherman was using salted minnows which landed more cats. They had size to them...he mentioned he brought a smaller one of 6 lbs home to bbq. Also lots of carp caught in the same manner.
Another spot for carp in the mill pond south of Cockshutt road, the easiest way to get there is through Mount Pleasant, go straight, follow the CKPC radio towers, cross Cockshutt and its about 2 K down the road....lots of carp, pike in the pond....if you hear of any other spots please return the favour.....good luck.....

Kevin
