My Little Contribution To The "Year End Thingy", .
Geeze, ....You know, ....the older ya get, ....the faster time flies, ....(not that I'm admitting to anything here )
It seems like just yesterday I was chompin' at the bit to get the boat out on the water for the first time....
............Oh wait, it was, ....see, my old boat kicked the bucket, and I'm in the process of picking up another one, ....a bigger one, ......maybe.....
Anyways, ....that's not why I'm here, .....my sister think's I've been slackin' it all year, ....so I thought I'd share a little of what I've been up to with all of ya.....
The first fish of the year came in April, ......it's always nice to get that first fish jinx outta the way.....
The first "King", .....also came in April, .....from a little derby I was in....
Here's a few of the nicer fish that I welcomed aboard this year....
I got a few steelies as well
I have always said that I'd never fish the lake solo, ....too much can go wrong, .....I lied....
Once I got bit by the trolling bug, ....it just seemed that nothing else interested me....
To make a long story short, ....I gave 'er a whirl a few times this year....
It was a learning experience, ....and not without it's "Gongs"
Not the least of which was getting the, .... fish, ...camera, ...and sun to co-operate for a picture....
OOPS!!!
However I did manage a couple of good ones....
Most of my crews this year haven't fished salmon much, ...if at all, ....and I loved it when I managed to hook 'em up.....
I even managed to drag the boy's and a couple of their friends away from the usual "priorities" for a couple of trips....
Mike had terrible luck this year, ....lost three nice fish, ....one on a rigger tangle, ....and two from questionable netting tactics by yours truly, .....hence, ....the biggest of the smallest....
And finally to close, ...I was lucky enough to be a guest on a few of my Bud's boats as well....
I didn't mean the pic overload, ......Yeah, ...I did.....
It's not entirely my fault though, ..... I got frustrated a couple of times earlier in the year when I tried to put up a report....
It was a fun experience, ....I still got a lot of learning to do with this stuff, but it is an addiction , .....and I'll be back to satisfy it again next year...
.......Guess it's time to hibernate......

What are you going to replace old Bessy with ? (and after all that work replacing the floors and changing the seat over to pedestals )
Did the V4 die on ya ?
Hey Andre...
Yup the V4 died a quick a painful death about a hundred yards from the harbour channel on my last trip, .....at least it waited till I was on my way back, ...rather than on my way out...
When I pulled the plugs, ...one of 'em was stuffed with aluminum like a thanksgiving turkey.....
I'm lookin' at the twin of "Bessy" to get me through a couple more years, ....it's cheap, ...20ft. long, ...with an inboard, ....and a roof to boot
Maybe we can get the gang together for quinte next year again, .....Anyone heard from Allan...?

Thanks for the offer Simon, ....and I'm sure we'll hook up again next year for some Grand River cats.....
....I got "another" hot spot now for 'em.....
It could have been worse you, could have been 2 miles out.skooter wrote: Hey Andre...

Haven't heard from Allan in a long time, I don't see his user name listed unless he changed it.
