Lac Heney & Permichagon

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lac Heney & Permichagon

Post by bullseye »

Leaving soon for a 5 day trip to the Lac Heney region in Gracefield, Quebec. In the past I have been on Heney, Permichagon and Green. Any advice or suggestions for Pike on these lakes or surrounding waters?
I promise a report upon my return. Thanks....

Bullseye,
Are you staying at Whitefish Lodge?
If so, get Charlie to run you over to The Five Lakes.
Green was really great for me this year but still I got my PB largie of the season (6.12) on Heney.
I'll be up at the lodge sometime Friday afternoon if everything pans out. If you are still around Friday, we could head out before the fish fry and see what is lurking. Supposed to be a great week, weather wise.
Cheers,
Ian

Yes, staying at Whitefish Lodge. We are leaving NY in the morning and will probably stay until Friday. I love the 5 lakes but I have a 17' Smokercraft and unless Charlie's access road is alot better than last year, I'm not sure if I want to drag it through 3 miles of log roads again to get there. Charlie is a good guide though so maybe I will take one of his smaller boats and go anyway. I'll let you guys know how it was when I get back.

Access road has been cleaned up. You should have no problems getting your boat in.
Cheers,
Ian
