Your muskie brought me in this forum. Well, in Germany (my country) a little type of muskie named "Hecht" (Pike) can be caught. But we don´t catch them in such sizes!
But, ok. You live in the "Mekka of fishing".
Best wishes from Munich,
uwe
We also have "Hecht" pike and they can grow that large , but a lot more north of here, about an 8 hr to 14hr drive.
We are spoiled here in Ontario Canada and each and every angler should know and respect that to keep our resource healthy.
I'm glad to see you joined our fishing family here and even more happy it was because of my fish.
Thank you and "Welcome to Fishhawk"

Matt

MuskyMatt,
I need to get in line and add sincere congrats on your accomplishment. All of us fishing nuts have certain goals and expectations...recognizing Musky fisherman are a whole different breed...I realize you have reached Musky Nirvana with a +50" fish! It's been fun to watch all the posting of big Musky caught in the recent weeks! I remember the thrill of the first Musky I ever landed and how long it took for my hands to stop shaking. It was only a small river fish in Pennsylvania, but it made me a Musky junkie for the better part of two years!
Well done Sir!

Since this is a Musky thread here is a pic of my friend with his first Musky in a small local River in Ottawa (caught and released of course!):

Back from Wolfe Lake to find lightning struck and my computer router fried, so I only have a quick moment or two on Brian's office computer...

I'm psyched for you, Matt. What a beauty. I am doubly impressed you managed another big 'lunge on the same outing.
You are charmed this year!

PS: hope to be back online soon to catch up and share a few pics.
