On Lake Oneida, but did not find a one. It was the first time being on that body of water, so asked a couple of guys at the marina what they recommended. Both said 13' of water, bottom drifting worms. We tried that for a while, with no success, so decided to cruise the lake a bit. Found a spot in 8-12' of water with weeds growing up 4' off the bottom. Put on a white "Mr. Twister" jig and finally got into some fish. Ended up with 3 black bass, the largest smallie I had ever seen and 7 pike. Course all were turned back healthy and still wanting to fight so will be there the next time we get out.
When we came back in, talked to another couple of guys just putting in. They had been killing the eyes the last 2 days in 20-21' of water on jigs. Guess that just shows to go ya that everyone has different strokes that work for them.
Going out again in the morning, if I can find someone to go out with me. Wife is working and do not really like to go alone. Half the fun is having someone along to kid with about who is catching what anyway.
