Well we patched together a trip to the Picton ferry launch yesterday, we started fishing at about one and fished untill dark with no luck. However ! We talked to a couple of boats from Oshawa who had caught 6 each (some in 14 lb range) that morning and said the bite shut down at noon (story of our lives).We also talked to another boat that caught 12. It seems if you catch the bite right your tight.The weather was awsome ,I forgot my floater suit in the rush to get ready and it turned out I didn't need it.The police where also out enjoying the warm weather Thanks again Ken for your help, your advice was repeated almost word for word by the boats we talked to and they appeared to be hard core walleye guys.We are going back saturday this time early and a little better prepared.We only had one purple lure with us and my buddys bigger than me so he got to use it We took a little friendly ribbing for our gear (We are a couple of frustrated muskie guys trying to downsize overnight !!)I am going to pick up some Manns Baits and some fluorocarbin(sp?) leaders today.They are calling for a high of -3 sunny and 5km winds for sat. I will let you know how we do.The scary part is I am starting to think we could be doing this in Jan if the weather holds ! Thanks again Ken. You realize this is all your fault!

You are hooked now...the weather has been great for an extended trolling season on Quinte. Lots of fish landed in December and it looks like next week the temps will be above zero all week so we should still be fishing from boats for a few more weeks.

thanks for the report. I know the feeling of washing lures for hours with no payback You know, I'll bet one of your baby musky lures would work. These fall fish want a BIG meal for their effort. One of the guys I was fishing with a few weeks back caught one on a huge (by my standards) Bagley's lure. I thought, "what's he going for, a 20 lber"? Lo and behold he nailed a 9 lber on it. Anyways, good luck Saturday and look forward to your SUCCESSFUL report!
Well we made it out saturday,another beautiful day, foggy and light snow turning to sunshine in ths afternoon.My partner caught a 30"x18"walleye at 10:30 and we had a couple on/off's. It was a pretty fine looking walleye(very dark) and made the trip worthwhile.Bob Izumi's trucks were parked at the launch and also Canada in the Rough trucks were there,we saw some long low mean looking machines out there but did not get close enough for a positive I.D. We picked up some pink/purple Taildancers but the fish was caught on a baby muskie lure(Ken )We only talked to one other boat and they got three they felt it was an unusually tough day.So we are pretty well hooked now.We also learned that Muskie nets are way to big and Bass nets are way to small for Adolphus Reach Walleye.My Wife is starting to suspect I have found yet another new way to spend money on Fishing.I have a nice digital picture but (over 50 duhh!)can't figure out how to post it.So the long range weather forecast says we can keep boating for another week,and we will definately be back, thanks for your help I will post results.
Well went back to Adolphus Reach today, fished from noon till dark, we got one nice 12 pounder, well worth the trip.I think we saw Eyetracker out there doing his thing, I stalked him for a while checking out his trolling speed and the cool boat but left him alone after that . We are going back tomorrow maybe we will see Ken and Eye Tracker. I don't know what channel you guys moniter i am on 8 most of the time. We are in a green Lund with an evinrude+kicker and stand up top.Man those walleyes are FAT!!We don't need no stinking Muskies!!

Nice work Russ! I will be up tomorrow with Joanne and Superdad in my blue & white Starcraft with grey Mariner kicker. We are usually on channel 4 and 0. I'll bring both radios and put one on 8 and 0. Good luck tomorrow and we'll keep an "eye" out for you. (ha ha, I crack me up ) Hopefully the 40k winds aren't too bad. Not so much for me but for Joanne. Anyways, good luck and be safe.
Welcome to the ranks of the walleyed addicted swampbuster !!! Once the bug has you, it's tough to recover, and BOQ walleye bugs are the most contagious. With this weather, I envy you and other diehards still still having your boats available. Eye-tracker it looks like you are getting your wish - no winter!!!
so sheldon now that you have had a chance to run your your new hull a few time's what do you think. from your last few post's we know it can catch fish . have you had a chance to run it in a good chop yet , chances are you probabaly did your home work before you purshased it and give one a good test run. i have fished a couple of tourny's that had the 21 ft tracker walleye pro's we ran across erie in rough water and i was very impressed with the ride. if the 18 ft runs like it's big brother i'm sure you will be satisfied.
