Kashwakamak Smallies

I'm planning to go up there this long weekend and was just wondering if anyone has been out lately....how's it been? Planning on camping in Brown's bay on the island......I never fished up there this late and was wondering what the typical fall smallmouth pattern would be.....have they moved into the shallows yet to put on the feed bag or are they still deep?
Any info you be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was up there on wedsnday and thursday and it was really slow. didn't get any decent smallies or any decent fish for that matter, but it was coldfront conditions so who knows. While I was waiting for my dad getting ready to leave on thursday i was fishin a topwater walkin bait off the dock and somehow managed to catch a largemouth and a smallmouth at the same time! I was really amazed at that. I yelled for my dad to come down and I was there holding up the lure with a fish hanging off each treble hook. he didn't beleive i caught them at the same time. I also caught 2 pike dragging tubes where I usually catch smallmouth in 30 fow.
