I was there last night from 8 to 11 pm and I landed 4 walleye, 3 crappie, and a ridiculus number of rock bass (I lost count). I also had either a pike or a muskie grab my minnow, but he spet it out before I could get a good hookset. Everything I caught was either on a minnow, or a white 4inch walleye grub.
Anyone else fish that spot? If so, do you have any tips?
not really...
Biggest one was about 2 pounds. Perfect eating size though. I imagine that spot should hold some decent size fish earlier in the year when walleye first opens.

That's what I have been thinking for about 3 years.. but never got around to trying it....
I've fished there before, but only in the spring after the season opens. Some nice walleye to be had then. At this time of year the water's usually way to low.
