Any recent Port Hope Reports ??

I have not noted any recent reports on salmon fishing in the Port Hope area and was wondering if anyone has tried it lately. I made my first salmon trip last year to this area about the middle of August and had a great time with my two brothers. I am now thinking of trying it again this year but am not to sure of best timing - any input/reports on success would be appreciated. Thanks.

It has really cooled off and the fish are moving in closer with people catching them off the piers at night time. I'd being making a trip within the next couple of weeks unless you are fishing from shore then wait till the end of august beginning of september. Last year was definately a good year and It is looking promising for this year with the amount and size of salmon we have been getting recently.

Thanks for the update. Three of us will be coming down Aug.22-23 with my boat and are looking for another chance at a salmon - kind of a different pace for old walleye anglers. Thoroughly enjoyed PH last year and found everyone super helpful and friendly which is why I want to return again this year. Will let you know how we made out later.
