canoe or kayak fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Joco,
If you get an anchor for your yak, be extremely careful about how you use it. NEVER use it in strong current. It will tip and sink you so fast you won't have a chance to react. Even with a much weaker current, have a sharp knife handy to cut your rope in case the anchor snags. I just use a small, vinyl-coated dumbell for an anchor. It's cheap, easy to tie on, and fairly snag resistant. But again, I never use it in fast water. You can hold your place in a much safer way by grounding yourself lightly on a rock or shoal.

Hmmmm slop fishing for largemouth in the dog days of summer in a kayak! :D

Beats the heck out of sitting here in front of this box.

I'll have a kayak by pike opener can't wait to get out with you for some extreme fishing.

Also can't wait to hook a massive carp in the kayak it will be quite a story to tell. 8) Hopefully with pics.

Joco I tried KAYAK fishing once, NEVER AGAIN----I fished all week & never caught 1 kayak---not even a bite. My pontoon must have scared them off.
