This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ukko Wobblers can't find any.NEED HELP

Post by dh99 »

I am trying to find a place that sells Ukko wobblers, the smaller ones not the big 12 cm ones but the 6 cm, 9 cm ones.

Never used them but I read an article that said they were good for landlocked salmon (ouananiche) and somebody told me they did for eyes with them.

Does anybody know where I can find some.

Tough to find tackle

Post by Seaweed »

Whenever I find it hard to find some tackle I check E-bay

Ukko Wabbler search revealed this:
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dl ... =&saprchi=

I did a google search too ... try it.

I checked them out but they are the big ones, the pike and musky lures.

I am trying to find the smaller ones for eyes. I will keep on searching.

Looks like the lures are from Europe

I found a couple of foreign sites searching for:

Turus-Ukko

But for the life of me I can't figure out what they say... there are indications of smaller sizes... but you are on your own trying to order them.

Turus Ukko

Hi guys,

I remember seeing some of these lures (including the small ones) at Protackle musky shop near Belleville last time I was there a few years ago. I checked the website, and the name is listed, but their inventory isn't there, so I don't know if they still carry them. Might want to give em a call though! (I have one of the larger ones....awesome lure!)

DH,
As an alternative you may want to try the Reef-Runner ripsticks or little rippers. These have the perfect bottom to top roll to trigger walleye strikes. They also have enough colours to keep you shopping for a few years.

Thanks Eye tracker

They are already on my list, I bought a few of ebay and I am going to order some more. Have you tried the Ripshads?

Hello dh,
I have tried the ripshads but I not a huge fan of plastic shad lures. I really like the Bagley Small Fry and Walleye Shads that are made of Balsa...they provide a very tantalising "Backing Up - Floating Upwards" motion on the turn or pause that walleye can't resist.

Man...I think I just let one of my favorite baits out of the bag  While I am at it the Bagley balsa bait also have great action behind keel weights and snap weights that plastic just can't seem to reproduce at those slow walleye trolling speeds.

Fish On...
