Who wants a Magnus net?
Who wants a Magnus net?
Those of you who were at Quinte this fall will remember the net that we were shown. I have been in contact with Tim Barlett recently and inquired about the pricing on them. If there is enough interest he has offered to give us a dealer price on them as long as we buy in multiples of 5. The standard dealer package is 10 nets and this prefferred quantity to sell in. If needed he will split up a package in half if we can only get 5 people interested.
I made a phone call to Canadian Tire in Picton where they are sold and they are priced @ 69.99 plus tax. Total would be $80.50
The price Tim has offered us is the following if we pay in cash- if we purchase 5 nets - $ 50.00 per net, no tax
10 nets $40.00 per net, no tax
For those of you who aren't familiar with these nets they are a high quality net with built in 20 lb mechanical scale. These come with a lifetime warranty. Info can be viewed here www.magnusnets.com
If they all are shipped to the same address there would normally be a $7.00 per net charge due to the awkward size/shape. I am willing to drive to Picton myself and pick them up, then make arrangements to get them out to everyone.
Let me know if you are interested either here or by pm/email me.
I am gonna be picking one up for myself no matter what, just thought there might be some other interest out there
let me know
Joe

Nightroller/Topwater,
Not including you 2, I have 5 nets spoken for already. Let me know if you want one
Unless anyone is in a hurry for the net, I'll probably leave this open for a week or 2, collect money then go get them. I'll shoot everyone that expressed interest in these a pm with the final total

By far the easiest way to send the money is through email banking. ll the big banks have this feature; I use it all the time. You would send Jale the money through an email sent through online banking and he deposits it using the email sent and online banking. The money is accessible right away to Jale.
Cheers,
Scott

Rubber?
Hey,
Looking at the net, is it rubber, or the old string kind?

Too bad...
That's too bad.
That built in scale is awesome, but I'm quite fond of my rubber net.

Hmmmm...
Please keep in mind, guys, that if these nets are made with knotted mesh (nylon or whatever), they are suitable for fish that will be kept for the table.
If you plan on releasing fish, there are better alternatives available that will not damage the fish.
CCB- doesn't even own a net
