i've seen some pretty hair-brained stuff out of the mind of M.T.
i'm reserving my judgement till he comes back.
11 years of seeing the "short-cuts" work - i can't pre-judge - this thing might actually work.
there's only one component missing - how to keep the box in the boat - there's now way anybody's butt is going to fit on that thing let alone MT, Furious, or Jignpigs - but i'd love to be there to see them try!!!
here's to an inventive, if not deranged, mind in motion!!

In our company we have what is called the coveted "Pony Pump Award", better known as the "Bit*h Fix Award". This award came from an enviromental engineer, (sorry Mikey) putting into service a Canadian Tire 110V Pony Pump into a 24 hr, 5 days per week pressurized service at a waste treatment facility for pumping treatment chemicals. The pump lasted admirably, but after a week of sputtering, and spraying "burnt "stuff" all over the backing wall, it finally exploded. We mounted the pump remains on a small piece of wood with a engraved plaque and present it to worthy people every year in our field. We have been doing this for 2 years now.
MT, this award would go to you for 2005.

And to cap it, he catches fish.
Nice going MT. Scotty, Berkeley, and the makers of Down-Easters are shakin' in their boots.
(Well Ok, more like shakin' from laughing so hard... but what the hey)

I must admit I was a little skeptical about the idea. But when I saw it in action I was impressed. I think M.T. is definitely on to something here. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these contraptions on the water next year. Not only is it functional, it can hold your lunch as well.
Now I wonder if you can mount a portable downrigger on it as well?
I can hear M.T. 's mental gear's turning from here.
