Are you going to launch the PBL this Saturday. The new snow is going to make it hard to get that hut out ... are you using a 4x4? Just checking cause I want to help if I can but trying to plan the weekend. Like I told you I can get away to help between 9-12 Saturday.
I will be fishing on Sunday in Bay des Sables and might try some other areas if that is slow. Go away North-West wind.
Draven mentioned a possible tourney on saturday so i may go sunday too.
It should be slightly warmer but at least the winds will drop. Should be out on the ice sunday for 9:30-10:00ish give or take road conditions... last week i ended up having to take the long way round on the 417 as the backroads were still snow covered.
Anyone else planning on a sunday trip out to petrie ?
I guess fish-hawk has had his monster walleye through the ice for this winter... hey fish-hawk there's always that 45" muskie with your name on it that wants to have it's picture on here
Risking divorce...I'm gonna head out for a quick early morning perch fish on the bay. I'll be cutting it close, but will be back in time for the flight!
Good luck to everyone on the ice this weekend and stay safe.
Well Mr Markus made it home in time! He was smiling ear to ear with his full bucket of perch and bragging about about being home so quick. I wiped the smile off his face when I asked how long it would take him to clean them all!! Ha Ha!
This was one of the coldest weekends on the Ottawa yet this year. I didn't last long without shelter. The ice is nearing thirty inches thick. Cars and trucks were everywhere on the good ice. A word of note though for anyone coming in to the tournament please check the posters to ensure that you do not go near the fast water areas near Petrie before you venture out on the ice. I saw one guy drive to a real treacherous spot and was glad to see the car still there on my way home. Lets stay safe out there.
