Man was it wet out there today, I'm still all pruned up from the day long bath 
We hit the water at 9am with barely any rain coming down, overcast calm, muggy... just what you want when after muskies. The day got of to a frustrating start, follows......again. Ten a.m hits and the rain starts coming.....Hard. So did the fish
In the next couple hours, we boated 2 in the 36" range, and had action from several others (Sorry no pics, to much rain) Couple pike, smallies then nothing.....for a couple hours. The rain had subsided and the wind shifted, we returned to a spot I had seen a Large fish at under the same conditions a week ago. After fishing shallow we backed off a little, and casted some doctored
Jakes to the deep breaks and points. I fired a cast off a deep point and began slowly crankin it back, when it was su-llaammed!!!! Immediatley my knee's start knockin, as there is a chance it's the "BIG ONE" 
After a short but hard fought battle I was rewarded with the prize of the day Didn't get a good length measurment, as she got away from us a second too early, 41" at the fork with a 17.5 inch girth.
