Job opening - Bobber's camera man

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Job opening - Bobber's camera man

Post by Fishhawk »

I've had just about enough. You've heard of bass thumb? Well now I have shutter thumb! It comes from taking pictures of Bobber everytime he catches a decent fish.

Two weeks ago it was Otter Lake. I didn't get a bite and Bobber nailed four honkin smallies.

This morning we went to Clayton Lake - first time in years for both of us and we were going there with an idea about exploring the lake more than we have in the past and trying some of the stuff that has worked well for us on other lakes since the last time on Clayton.

I was still tying on my bait when I heard the first splash to come from Bobbers Tournament frog. Yes sir - they not only work well on Ottawa River slop, but they work great over the top of the grass at Clayton as well. I think this first fish was caught in about 10 inches of water. SPLASH! A solid four pounder for Bobber.

So I switch what I was tying on for a black Tournament Frog as well. POW! This is OK. I'm looking too lame at this point... a three pounder is always good.

So Bobber says "Nice fish but watch this!"

We pulled a few smaller fish out of the grass and decided to explore some more. Bobber continued to catch bass - not real big ones but still more fun than catching nothing. Than I caught this one...

Then Bobber says "Take this!

And this!

And that!

I'm handy with a camera...errr....well, I have one at least. Get me into bass like that and I'll let you use it FH. At least then you won't be Bob's camera man.

I've got to stop hanging out there.

Truth is I am like a poppin hoppy in the boat, front to back and all places in between - it just depends on what has to be done.
